The Keinou Library and Sports Association popularly known as KLASA FC at the present days was registered in the year 1972 (Registration No. 1118 of 1972) as KLASA. The purpose of KLASA was to look for the development in the field of library and sports in Keinou and adjoining areas. There were no sorts of major achievement in the initial days. One of the pioneer personality of KLASA was Chanambam Prakash Singh, who was in the Football Team of Indian Air Force. Whenever he was home on leave, he started motivating players of in and around Keinou Village. He started conducting training on how young players to remain physically fit, different forms of exercise at Keinou Kangjeibung which is now popularly known as KLASA-FC Home Ground. A full team was formed finally and after rigorous training, KLASA emerged as Block Champion (now known as District Champion) in the consecutive years of 1976, 1977 and 1978. In the consequent year, Block Champions Meet was held at Imphal. KLASA claimed victory among the champions of various districts that participated and thus, the popularity of KLASA increased year by year. Finally, KLASA was qualified for All India Block Meet held at Mumbai but couldn’t attend due to financial shortcomings of the club, financial situation of the state of Manipur and various other pertinent issues during the time.
With the ever changing time the game of football also change to keep abreast with the playing tactics of Modern Football but KLASA however kept on managing adapting the advance playing tactics from time to time. KLASA started playing in the top tier league of Manipur Football, Manipur State League from 2014 by bagging winner in Super Division of DSA, Bishnupur and runner’s up in the Winner’s Cup. But KLASA unfortunately got relegated from State League in 2015-16 season. And in 2016-17 season, KLASA again entered the State League by making history for returning into the State League just one season after the relegation.
In 2017-18 season, KLASA became the league winner of the 12th Edition of State League but unfortunately lost in the final against Neroca and qualified for the IInd Division I league. The 13th edition of MSL of 2018-19 season was canceled due to Covid-19 pandemic. In the year 2020 KLASA was rechristened in to KLASA-FC due to prerequisite of AIFF regulations if KLASA’s team were to kick in the national level field. KLASA qualified for almost every State League held in Manipur State and in the year 2021-22, 14th Manipur State League, KLASA- FC created history by emerging as the 14th Manipur State League Champion quenching the thirst of fifty years long await for this Manipur State League Winners trophy. In the 2022-23 season, KLASA-FC became the champions again defending the championship title and qualified for the 3rd Division I-league.
In the 15 Manipur State League(2022-23), KLASA FC defended the Manipur State League Champions Title and became the consecutive Champions of Manipur. As the Champions, KLASA FC got promotion to the 2023-24 I League 3 to represent Manipur.
In the 2023-24 I League 3 Group Stage, KLASA FC were placed with United Chirang Duar FC (Assam), Jaipur Elite (Rajasthan), Sports Odisha (Odisha) and Baroda FA (Gujarat). KLASA FC emerged as group champions without losing a single match and got promotion to the final round of the League.
